Master Students do something for the community

Students in the Masters in Management class on Business in Society were asked, as a group project, to « Do something for the community ».  17 groups found ways to help. Some groups went to schools, hospitals, retirement homes and through personal involvement  improved the lives of others (« make my day »). Other groups engaged with NGOs (Caritas), businesses and professionals to improve the lives of others (clothes collect and computers for Caritas, SMEs, massage at UNIGE). Other groups helped to raise awareness (environment) and raise funds to support deaf and blind children (in Cambodia, Russia); schools in Haiti, Nairobi, Senegal, and associations such as WWSF White Ribbon campaign aimed at domestic violence.  In a short time, the students were able to raise over 12,000 CHF and 3,000 Euros to support these various causes. Through these activities they learned project management, marketing, communication, logistics, …. But more importantly, that with little time and effort (big and small) they could make a contribution. And that doing good, feels good.

Actu: Equity
We thought it was still 20% of capital to buy his house. The banks are more flexible. In some cases 10% are sufficient to facilitate access to the property. It's good to take but watch out for the housing bubble.
