De nationalité Suisse, Mme Maria-Pia Victoria-Feser est professeure de Statistique. Titulaire d'un doctorat en Econométrie et Statistique de l'Université de Genève, elle a occupé les fonctions de lecturer au Département de Statistique de la London School of Economics (1993-1996) et de professeure adjointe suppléante à la FPSE (2000-2004)
Ses recherches et publications portent sur les domaines de la statistique (spécialisation en statistique robuste) orientée aux problèmes de l’économie (distribution des revenus, inégalité et pauvreté), de la finance (modélisation des valeurs extrêmes, optimisation de portefeuilles) et des sciences humaines (modèles linéaires généralisés, modèles à variables latentes).
