Program Structure
The Master of Science in Management is a full-time programme that starts every year in September. The Masters Management curriculum encompasses a wide range of fundamental knowledge and skills areas that will enable the students to shape their career plans and prepare their entry into the business world. The following experiences and insights provide the framework for students' learning at HEC Geneva:

Students must select one out of four possible specializations in light of their professional goals :
- Marketing
- International Management
- Strategic Management
- Information Systems and Services Science
Three orientations - Marketing, International Management, Strategic Management, last 3 semesters for a total of 90 credits. The first semester (33 ECTS) of these three orientations is mandatory and made of core courses. The second semester (27 ECTS) is devoted to the specialization: students have to select their preferred orientation between Marketing, International Management, Strategic Management. After two semesters of courses at the University, students have to validate 15 ECTS by doing an internship in a company or by attending an additional semester abroad at one of our numerous partner universities. Finally, students finalize their cursus by writing a master thesis (15 ECTS) on a relevant topic according to their specialization.
The orientation Information Systems and Services Science last 4 semesters for a total of 120 credits. During the first (36 ECTS) and second (39 ECTS) semesters, students attend mandatory courses in Service Management and Services Science. During the third semester (24 ECTS), students attend 3 mandatory courses (12 ECTS) in Services Science and can choose to either do an internship or attend in other masters (12 ECTS). The fourth semester is devoted to the writing of a master thesis (21 ECTS).
